EU projects

On behalf of Wrocław Municipality, the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) implements projects co-financed by the European Union. Below is a list of projects currently run by the WCRS team.

@nclusion – Supporting the integration of LGBTQI+ migrants at the local level (2024–2027)

The @nclusion project focuses on supporting one of the most vulnerable social groups within the migrant community – LGBTQI+ people. Our city’s participation in the project is an opportunity to build a cooperation network that will continue to bring about positive long-term change even after the project ends.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2024–28.

The project objectives include:

  • developing solutions to counter the multidimensional discrimination to which LGBTIQ+ people with migration experience are doubly exposed, in order to support their effective integration at the local level;
  • building cooperation and coordination between local authorities, migrant organisations and communities, LGBTQI+ organisations and other civil society organisations supporting migrant and LGBTQI+ rights in Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland and Spain.

The @nclusion project is implemented by the Wrocław Centre for Social Development in partnership with the Social Diversity Department of Wrocław City Hall.

More information is available on the @nclusion project website.

STAND – Strengthening the activation of cities for new narratives on diversity

A group of a dozen or so people involved in the STAND project posing for the camera in a large hall.

The main goal of the STAND project is to support European cities in building effective narratives highlighting the value of living together in diversity and the contribution of minorities to the social and cultural development of cities and Europe as a whole.

This goal will be achieved by engaging civil society organisations from various European cities, in particular those working with young people, and enabling them to participate actively in the process of building and disseminating alternative narratives.

The project aims to involve a variety of target groups: representatives of local authorities, non-governmental organisations, organisations working with young people, youth associations and youth groups.

The project aims to:

  • increase the competences of local authority and civil society organisation staff in building new narratives;
  • develop cooperation and the exchange of experience between cities from different EU countries;
  • involve cities in creating and disseminating effective narratives on diversity;
  • promote and raise awareness of interculturality and diversity in local contexts.
