Summer is a time when representatives of international organisations and institutions visit Wrocław. Over the last few weeks of July, Przejście Dialogu (Passage of Dialogue) welcomed guests from countries including the Czech Republic, Germany and Portugal, working in various social fields, such as refugee support and education.

The meeting with the Czech refugee-support organisation Opu Organizace Pro Pomoc Uprchlíkům, attended by representatives of the WroMigrant and Migrant Rights Institute teams, was an opportunity to share experience of supporting refugees on both sides of the border. Our colleagues also learned how the support system for people with refugee experience works in the Czech Republic.

In the second half of July, Przejście Dialogu was visited by researchers from Portugal as part of an Erasmus+ project, interested in inclusive education and teaching strategies. During the meeting, the Intercultural Dialogue Team talked about intercultural education programmes and activities carried out in Wrocław and about support for Ukrainian children in Polish schools

The projects and good practices presented included Ambassadors of Dialogue, intercultural assistants and preparatory classes.

During the meeting with participants of the Erasmus+ exchange “Stress free”, we presented our projects for migrants and the activities of Przejście Dialogu, and talked about the consultations offered by WroMigrant, the Information Point for migrants and refugees. The exchange brought together guests from 5 countries: Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Romania and North Macedonia. The meeting was held at the invitation of the “Żyj kolorowo” Foundation.

Meetings with organisations are a valuable experience for us, and for all participants they are an excellent opportunity to share experience in social integration and a source of inspiration for new projects.
