The “Support Guide” brings together the most important information on support, activities and development opportunities for young residents of Wrocław. What does the Support Guide contain and why is it needed?

The Guide is a comprehensive directory of institutions and organisations in Wrocław that offer support in crisis situations and also run preventive and developmental activities. It responds to the growing need for information about the help available for problems such as conflict, aggression and violence. Its aim is to make it easier for parents, carers, teachers and young people themselves to find quick and effective help.

We live in a fast-changing world, and strengthening social skills and preventing violence require a joint effort. That is why the Guide is the result of cooperation between many communities: educational, family, local and specialist. It shows that in difficult moments you are not alone. It is a compendium of knowledge intended to serve not only those directly in need of support, but also those who organise and provide it – teachers, trainers and carers.

Who is the Guide for?

The publication has been prepared with a diverse audience in mind:

  • For parents and carers: here you will find a list of institutions and organisations that will help you resolve a crisis, whether it is related to problems at school, peer conflicts or other difficulties. It offers practical support in overcoming a crisis.
  • For young people: if you are looking for help or just want to find a place where you can develop your passions, this guide will provide you with the necessary information. In it you will find contact details for places that offer support in crisis situations, as well as places where you can develop and spend your time actively.
  • For teaching staff, as well as trainers and carers at local centres: the Guide contains specific contact details for institutions and organisations that provide support in cases of conflict, violence and aggression.

What will you find inside?

The Guide is a practical collection of information that includes:

  • The name of the institution or organisation where you can get help.
  • A detailed description of the type of support and/or the project being carried out, so that you know straight away where to look for help in a specific case.
  • Contact details: address, phone number and email address, so that you can get in touch quickly.
  • Additional materials and useful links to broaden your knowledge.
  • A glossary of key terms to make complex issues easier to understand.
