We warmly invite you to the third networking meeting for institutions, organisations and individuals working in the field of intercultural dialogue, held as part of the “Together on Interculturality” series. The topic of the meeting will be Supporting migrants and refugees.

When and where?

The meeting will take place on 17 November (Wednesday), 10:00–11:30, online via Zoom.

Update: as the date clashed with the conference “Diversity in the Workplace – Challenges, Opportunities and Good Practices in Business, Local Government and NGOs”, we have moved the meeting to 17 November.

What will happen at the meeting?

At the November meeting, we will look at some of the issues raised during the round-table discussions in the area of Support (14 September this year).

We will focus primarily on forms of social assistance and support, taking into account groups particularly vulnerable to exclusion and discrimination.

Topics discussed during the meeting

  • Support for migrants and refugees in Wrocław – Municipal Social Welfare Centre (MOPS)
  •  Temporary accommodation centres – Security and Crisis Management Department, Department of Social Affairs, Wrocław Integration Centre, centre operators
  • Psychological support for migrants and refugees – Department of Health and Social Affairs, Kalejdoskop Kultur Foundation, Non Licet Foundation, Women’s Rights Centre Foundation
  • Support for people who are particularly vulnerable to discrimination and exclusion – Kultura Równości, Wrocław Council for Equal Treatment

For whom?

The meeting is intended for non-governmental organisations, informal groups and individuals working in intercultural dialogue, integration and education, supporting migrants and carrying out activities for the host society. We also invite organisations and leaders who identify with these issues and would like to get involved.

Registration

The meeting is open to all; registration is required via the form on the Przejście Dialogu (Passage of Dialogue) website (form at the bottom of the article) by 16 November. The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants the day before the meeting.

Thank you in advance for sharing this information with organisations and people interested in the topic – you can do this by sharing the post on Facebook or by sending a link to the form.

December meeting – save the date

The final meeting will take place in person on 13 December. Save the date in your calendar!

The meeting is organised by the Wrocław Centre for Social Development in cooperation with the Foundation for European Studies (FEPS) and the Lower Silesian Federation of Non-Governmental Organisations (DFOP).
