The Union of Polish Metropolises, together with the Taipei Representative Office, has announced the “Polish Cities for Ukraine – Taiwanese Grant Fund” competition for associations, foundations and social cooperatives throughout Poland.

The competition aims to support local, neighbourhood initiatives that promote, among other things, the integration of Ukrainian children and young people into the Polish education system and the active participation of people from Ukraine in local community life.

The fund has a total budget of PLN 3 million, with funding for a single project ranging from PLN 20,000 to PLN 220,000.

Cross-sector cooperation at local level

The competition is based on cooperation between various entities to achieve the project’s objectives. One of the requirements is to involve a local government partner (municipality, county, district or housing estate, depending on the administrative structure) and to submit a joint letter of intent by 24 April 2024.

Organisations interested in cooperating with Wrocław Municipality are asked to contact the WCRS Intercultural Dialogue Team by e-mail at wielokultury@wcrs.pl or by phone at 71 772 49 74

Please send us an outline of your project by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, 17 April. The team will then review the proposals and hold a meeting to discuss the planned scope of the partnership.

Given the tight deadline for submitting proposals and letters of intent (24.04.24), we recommend contacting us as soon as possible.
