Together on Interculturality: meetings of institutions, organisations and engaged individuals

Event cover image

We warmly invite you to take part in a series of regular networking meetings for individuals and organisations working in the field of intercultural dialogue, entitled “Together on Interculturality: Meetings of Institutions, Organisations and Engaged Individuals”.

When and where?

The first meeting will take place on 14 September (Thursday) at 14:00 at Barbara – ul. Świdnicka 8B (new location).

For whom?

The meeting is intended for non-governmental organisations and informal groups working in intercultural dialogue, integration and education, and supporting migrants. We also invite organisations and leaders who identify with these issues and would like to get involved.

Why?

The need for regular meetings between non-governmental organisations and representatives of Wrocław City Hall has been raised many times, and was voiced very strongly most recently during the meetings summarising the Wrocław Strategy for Intercultural Dialogue. This issue has been raised by representatives of both the City administration and civil society. The pandemic and the war in Ukraine severely limited this kind of activity, so we would like to make a fresh start with this key element of our cooperation.

The meetings aim to exchange information on ongoing and planned activities, analyse and define priority needs, share good practices, and jointly develop responses to current challenges in the area of interculturalism.

What will happen at the meeting?

During the inaugural meeting, we will talk about the current and planned activities of the Wrocław Municipality and non-governmental organisations in the area of interculturalism. It will also be an opportunity to present ongoing or planned projects for which we are looking for partners. Together, we will develop the format and topics of future meetings so that they meet the expectations and needs of participants.

Before the meeting, everyone who has registered will receive a file with profiles of the participating organisations to help participants get to know one another.

What’s next?

We plan to hold the meetings online every month and to meet in person once a quarter. The topics of individual meetings will be discussed and agreed on 14 September.

The meeting is open to all; registration is required via the form on the website of Przejście Dialogu (Passage of Dialogue) by 8 September 2023.

The meeting is organised by the Wrocław Centre for Social Development in cooperation with the Foundation for European Studies (FEPS) and the Lower Silesian Federation of Non-Governmental Organisations (DFOP).
